The unexpected lover

by deadly sun   Jul 17, 2009

Here upon my bed I wake,
and turn on my side for just one sake.
The sake would be to see my lover sweet,
who decades ago I did meet.
On that cold and foggy day,
at first i could find nothing to say.
In my mouth my tongue was caught,
and through my head ran one just thought,
how beautiful she was.

The first time I looked into her eyes,
it brought about a slow demise,
of thoughts of anger in my head,
and I remember what I said.
I called you my angel from above,
sent so I could give my love.
Your mouth hung open at your surprise,
then you thought I was telling lies,
of how sweet I said I thought you were,
yet in time you did learn.
I said to you no lies I told,
and then you pulled me close, out of the cold.

Your train came yet you didn't move,
so i stayed too so my love I could prove.
I started with your eyes like circles of grass,
sat in milky white orbs of purest glass.
Then I moved onto your care shaped hands,
such finesse they did command.
Then onto your lips shaped sweeter the a dove,
and suddenly you kissed me with your love.

I felt warm, I felt bliss,
from your sweet and tender kiss.
The way you made my legs go weak,
a stronger word I still seek.
A stronger word then love itself!
A word that has caused my world to melt.
Before I was 1 alone now i am 2,
I never regret the day I fell for you.

Another of my poems from my old account with alterations(and grammar finally lol.) I don't believe love is not forged in a day like the poem. but there will always be the first day you were in love with them and this is what the poem is really meant to speak out to.
