A summers day

by Helen   Jul 30, 2009

The sun shines brightly in the summers air
while spiders spin their webs gallantly down the stairs.

The glimmering waters edge
perfectly in line with the freshly cut hedge

The smell of roses dances with the wind
as the young children sing

Splashing about in the fast moving stream
While a desert awaits, strawberries and cream.

The breeze so fresh, like winter snow
Was a temptation, to he humans below

Smiling, sleeping, playing around
this summer might actually be turned around

but we sit and hope, in a blissful haze
that tomorrow will bring us a summers gaze.
