A starry night, a moonlit night.

by Alex   Aug 5, 2009

As I sit here and begin to write.
I gaze outside and stare upon the sky.
A starry night, a moonlit night.
Not a single cloud is within sight.

I sit and think of time gone by.
Hours, days, weeks and even months.
Countless conversations we've shared you and I.
I sit and wonder of when you're gone.

No more laughs and no more "hi".
No more calls to the 3-2-5.
And, if the day should come that we cease to speak.
I ask myself, " Years from now will you think of me?"

Would you think of me, like I would've thought of you?
Not as a distant stranger, but as a friend.
