Forgotten

by Stephen Levant   Aug 9, 2009

As we flutter about our existence, as we meander back and forth to the day-to-day mundane, we often forget. We forget a kind word spoken. We forget a gift given as a token. We forget sympathy proffered. We forget the arms which have held us and the words that have soothed us.

Who fed thou when thou wast hungry? Who has continually stood by thy side through the storms of life?

As we rush hurriedly about our existence, we forget a gentle rain which nourishes all of creation. We forget those who lifted us as we were about to fall. We forget encouragement which enabled us to stand tall. Of all the things we forget, most of all...it seems we've forgotten love.
