The One

by Edgar Pineda   Jun 14, 2004

The day before today I couldn't explain to her why I kept on smiling.

I felt embarrassed to tell her how I felt inside, because she is the only one that can make me happy, make me feel alive, make me forget about the injustices in life.

And after she was taken away from me by destiny, I felt like if my intestines were being eaten up inside by termites, and my flesh and bones were ripped apart by hungry wolves.

But every single second I spent with her that day; shadows turned into light, cries turned in to laughter and the wounded, like me, were healed.

It's like if she reached in to my heart with her healing hands and cured me.

I could not tell her this, I will not tell her this, I should have told her this.

I WROTE THIS POEM AFTER SEEING ' MY LOVE VALERIE FOR THE FIRST TIME AFTER A MONTH OR SO. I COULDN'T EXPLAIN TO HER HOW SHE MAKES ME FEEL EVERY TIME I SEE HER SO I WROTE THIS POEM BECAUSE IT'S ONE OF THE WAYS THAT I COULD EXPRESS MY FEELINGS WITHOUT FEELING BUTTERFLYES IN MY STOMACH WHEN I AM IN FRONT OF HER.
I LOVE YOU PRINCESS!!!!!!!!!!!
