Past and Future

by Shaikha MB   Aug 16, 2009

Another day,
With nothing interesting to say,
No message to convey,
It is now time to walk away.

In another time,
In another space,
Dress lined with lace,
Lays a girl in the grass,
In a simple white dress,
Thinking of her future and past,
And weather anything would ever last?

Laying in the grass,
She knows of horrid pasts,
Pasts of blood and death,
Filled with strong worriers and brave knights,
Against all odds facing evil kings.

Pasts of evil men who do nothing but cause harm to others,
A heavy weight drops upon her chest,
The weight of the worlds are upon her,
No tear shed is enough to cure the past or repair it,
All she can do is bare it.

Her only hope lay towards the future,
An unknown and mysterious future,
A future filled with rays of hope,
A shinning sun to warm her soul,
Mountains to lift her up,
And beauty to take her breath away.

A dream of love,
A dream of happiness,
A dream of a changed world,
A world where skies are blue,
And people are true.
