You Didn't Return

by ShyandHurt   Aug 18, 2009

There is that scarlet red sun
In the distance it sets
Leaving the world in the dark
Just like you left me.

The only difference is I know you won't come back
I know the sun will return
So why didn't you
Why did you leave me stranded in a black existance?

Every night I hoped
I even prayed
But to no avail
You never dipped to kiss my lips again.

I'm at your feet
I have forgiven you
I've given you my heart once again
So what are you so afraid of?

Behind the trees that sun sets
I heed it good-bye
Though it is bitter sweet
For I know, unlike you, it shall return, bright as ever.
