My daughter

by kalelrobin   Aug 20, 2009

I saw her beautiful face , her tiny nostrils accepting the wonderful oxygen,
I saw the little beautiful smile, as she gently held my finger with love ,and in all still stood time,
She has her mother's eyes, she had my nose , and her smile was from both us,
God was smiling , her mom looked so proud , I was totally breathless,

Early she woke up, screaming gently for the supple taste of her mother's breast,
I peaked at them , her lips stuck so diligently on her nipples that I could not help but be impressed,
I swear an angel touched my shoulder , citing the wonderful gift, citing my wonderful responsibility,
I breathed in with pride, happiness, and laughter all rolled into one great nicety,

I knelt down, and thanked the one who created me,
I promised to be , to try and make sure that as he is , I will to try to be,
I held her up close, I looked into her eyes and said thank you and I love you,
You gave us a daughter who is exactly like you,
Thus I know once again as I have found my true love , once again God has made my dream come true.
