Love

You confined me, you confined me, to all I never was
however it was necessary, for that's what love does
Yet you liberated me, you freed me from all who I am
but becoming reliant upon you, was never in my plan

You and I share a bond, I'm connected to you
I'm in a coma and on life support
you're my respirator, I use you because I need to
So incapacitated, to you I resort

Our infatuation was like a rush of cocaine
you went straight to my head, straight to my brain
pupils dilated, and the euphoria rushed on
however it wasn't too long, before it was gone
before I wanted you, then I needed you
you made my roses red, you made my sky blue
Then you shattered and broke it all, tore it down
then your two voices, were the only sound

You showed me the peak, the summit, the apex
and I recoiled from the edge, almost by reflex
because you see, Vertigo is such a novel experience
it robs you of your mind, and it upsets the balance
I feel the edge looming before me, and I face doubt

do I stand or do I jump?
do I stand or do I jump?
