Ocean waves lap against the parched dry shore
the water is my sustenance, and I need more
you are my water, I can't get enough of you
I hope you understand, that simple fact is true

You're so much more to me, than just the average girl
You're my best friend - my best friend and my whole world
You're the sunshine, on my dark and cloudy day
and you can control my feelings, with any words you say

Your tantalizingly ticklish touch on my skin
as your finger tips brush my arm they come across
beads that are bound by more than just string
beads coated in lovely love, sparkling gloss
of that bonding element love, such a wonderful thing!

Playful nips and love bites, underneath the darkened lights
nostalgic memories contrasted by some stupid fights
yet we always fix, that which was broke

Fingers interlace, and thumbs run across each other
blue pours into brown, and we kiss one another
Hands roam across bodies, hands slip under clothes
hands go everywhere, hands connect us both
We talk and we walk and smoke cigarettes
and when it comes to you, I don't hold regrets

Dana, I want to be with you, I hope you can see
that you and I together, is what I want to be
I'll be the blue sky to your sunny day
and I'll be the red to your rose
And I'll always be the first one to say
I want to hold you close
