Scarred Anyway

Like a little puppy dog playing under the sky
I try to get too close
Parts get bitten, part of me dies
Scarred and roaming, wanting to go far away
But for some reason, the beauty of you keeps me at bay
Though my mind is jumping from one ship to the next sailing away
Against the current I called
Further being chewed at and mauled
My heart never mends
But for you, I never fall
For you, my heart I can always send
Putting my life on the line only for you
The sky changes rapidly from gray to blue
Tossed around, mind now torn to shreds
As I pick up the shards I shed
Form them together into lines of love
Trickling down our blood
Resembling a life and love once had been
I'm dying, bleeding, with no aid
But what does it matter, I'm scarred by you anyway
Wanting to move away from this now poisonous world we made
But with no where to go, I will roam, finding the lost pieces, in a land we betrayed
These scars were only the start
Of the total desecration of my heart
