O Love, how ardent be
the words with which I would woo thee!
Consumed within by flames of love,
--of hell? Or fire from heav'n above?
O Love, wilt thou devour me whole?
Hear! Let thy torrents cease to flow!
How to win I cannot tell
Prithee, wouldst thou break thy spell?
A game of words, of heart, of soul
All I'll give, and yet unknownst
to me 'tis how is played this war
But on I'm drawn, and yet play more.

    You have quite the variety of vocabulary! i'm pleased and amused to see them used, a very well done job. however, in some places your variety of vocabulary seemed very verbose, though it did make for a very enjoyable read.
