Take You Back

by The Lady of Shalott   Oct 29, 2009

She's sitting alone,
wanting to disappear;
Consumed by confusion,
drowning in fear.

She remembers the times,
you held her in your arms.
She felt so safe,
so oblivious to harm.

But she wasn't,
you broke her heart.
Now you want to come back,
and she's falling a part.

She has dreamed of your face,
since the day you left,
You stole her heart...
the impossible theft.

She let you in,
this foolish young girl.
How did you repay her?
By destroying her world.

She loves you so much,
but must make a choice.
You told her you missed her,
and she couldn't find her voice.

She now thinks to the pain,
and her heart's brutal attack,
Can you really blame her,
if she doesn't take you back?
