Firefly

by LameOANDSuperDork   Nov 4, 2009

Oh dear firefly, what a sight you are;
How you twinkle and sparkle
up so far.

Oh sweet firefly, how small you seem;
Shine to the left, then to the right...
Try to catch, but nor can we.

Oh quick firefly, how fast can you be?
Too quickly do you dart and fly,
down to Earth, away from Sky

Oh cunning firefly, how tricky can you be?
instead of shining where you are..
where you've been is all we see.

Oh bright firefly, how you dazzle about!
But one question, I shall ask...
How long until your light burns out?

    Interesting write, a tad repetitive within the first couple stanzas in terms of the concept ,but the last line brought it in well.
