Slipping into Nothing

by JaM   Nov 11, 2009

Often times I am thinking,
dazed while searching my mind.
Slipping slowly into nothing,
releasing myself from time.

I appear to be deep in thought,
though I am sifting through clutter.
The amount of darkness inside,
could cause one to shutter.

Now my life lyes in the hands,
of fate, destiny and chance.
As the life I worked hard toward,
ended quickly like a great dance.

I shall wonder during my days,
as to what might come next.
Hoping that I will survive,
with a mind so perplexed.

I foresee restless nights ahead,
missing your body next to me.
Wishing that I was strong enough,
to move on and accept your apology.

Like waves of the ocean,
this is a bump of many to overcome.
Having something, then nothing,
is returning to step one.

Though hard times will soon come,
that is just the way things are.
You will be cherished in my heart,
even though we will be apart.
