Let.

There's a disconnection
and time is fading fast between us.
yours, mine, theirs,
it's all borrowed

i watch the world through fading eyes,
and I find that time has aged us
and built a dam for the memories
we once held safely within reach

i see you and I
standing upon a precipice of chance
but I hesitate to fall

is this really what I want?
what I need?

I am unsure until I see you,
hand held out and eyes soft,
knowing I'll take it
and fall with you

so while the world has aged
and time stands between us,
forcing us to come to terms
with our decisions

I find that I am okay with these things
because though I may be slowly crushed
by the harsh mannerisms of time, and life

I know that you'll always be there
hand outstretched and eyes soft just for me
waiting for me to grasp, and trust.
