Lost

by Mimed Lovette   Nov 13, 2009

Lost in this city of love,
she stumbled upon incidentally.
The stranger who brought her there,
walked away silently one day.

Intoxicated, addicted she was
for she had once belonged.
Now abandoned, left alone
she returns though it's wrong.

One touch made her come back for more,
however strong her will may be.
Now she pulls anyone that comes along,
yet the feeling just wasn't as strong.

You said our love has ended,
that just meant it had never started.
A thorned rose you were to me,
one that I loved yet got me badly hurt.
