Three Words

by Mimed Lovette   Nov 25, 2009

Three words,
hanging by the thread.

Left unspoken, courage devoured,
holding on to wasted space.

Three words,
nothing more to be said.

Speeches muted, and you cowered,
nonreciprocating love into my face.

Three words,
what we had will fade.

Waning, pouring, left declining
the moon hovers in eclipse phase.

Three words,
goodbye we shall bade.

Farewell, adieu, heart departing
unmoor me from the love we chased.

Three words,
gone green like a jade.

Molded since the day we met,
now an unsheltered, abandoned place.

Three words,
and now our love is dead.

"Let us go..."

Wow, when I read the title I thought the three words you were talking about were "I love you," beautiful sort of twist at the end. 5/5, Em
