Reassurance

How do I show the girl I adore
That my love for her has grown into more
Than words my lips can no longer say,
And that I can't stop thinking of her night and day?

There's flowers and candy, they're sure to please,
And poems can be written, her heartstrings to tease.
Hallmark writes cards that bring tears to the eye,
And there are plenty of trinkets that money could buy.

All of these things are thoughtful as such,
But there's no better way than being true to her trust
That I'm not going to hurt her, or let her down;
That she can count on me always to be around.

So Suzanne, please listen, I want you to know
That every day I've felt my love for you grow
Into something so powerful I've never before seen,
And with you, forever, is how I want to be.
