This reminds me so much of a young man that used to post here, the young cowboy...you know who I mean..and also of a poem I posted and deleted again about a boy named..Happy I think I called it, don't remember exactly, but you were the only one who read it, I deleted it very soon after I posted it..well, anyway..a really nice poem and if it really was about him and you and he are still in contact, wish him all the best from me and a happy Xmas:) Same to you btw:)

    God bless,

Freedom is sweet. And sweeter when not confused with losing control and giving in to your temptations.

This is an inspirational write Sylvia. A 5 for me

Ingrid, after recent adverse events in my personal life, the young man, the young cowboy as you refer to him, TJ Becker, did come to mind. I admired his outlook on life after all of the adverse events he faced from such a young age and modeled this poem after that outlook, not particularly about him. I don't intend to delete it at all, but will use it as a source of strength to move through my life at this time. As for contact with him, I will not feed the rumor mill on the site by either denying or acknowledging, which by the way probably won't make a difference anyway, since people will think what they want to think.

The poem is beautiful. I'm sure our friend will love it. That you can take something like that from a friend and apply it to your own life is a wonderful thing.

What is that one quote from Dr. Seues I think.
"Those who matter don't mind and those that mind don't matter"

    Excellent job!

Silvia, I ususally don't come back to the comment box after I have made mine, but in this case I was curious to see if anyone else thought the same thing as I. I was not expecting an aswer or explanation from you and certainly not a public one, lol. I am sure TJ won't mind being an inspiration to this poem, why on earth would he?
I don't know anything about rumor mills, and don't understand that remark at all, but I am sure someone else will. I hope things will get better for you and I hope he is doing well, he is in my prayers always..a true child of God he is.

    Take care,

    Ingrid

A lot of thought and work has gone into this poem which is excellent and technically brilliant.
its simplicity is a plus as well as the poem being in the firm of a 13 line French Rondel. 5/5 Ray S

I don't know about the who's or whys of the poem. Just the beautifully written poem that definitely shows concern and respect for someone. His chest must be swollen with pride to think he is thought of in this respect.
    Great job Sylvia

Awww I hate that is took me such a long time to get to this one. It's brillant. I'm not able to do this types of poems so I'm always amazed when someone does them well as you have. I had no complaints or ways to change this piece. I think yoour word choice was amazing and made this piece really stand out to me. I loved the imagery and how well this flowed. One of my favorites I'd have to say. I agree with Jimmy, this was beautiful and does a great job of showing us just how talented you are. Great job deary :) Nik
