I'd Do Anything For You

by Mimed Lovette   Dec 20, 2009

I'd wait for you in the rain,
wrapped up in my old yellow hood.
Throw rocks at your window pane,
and chase away your sheer bad mood.

I'd sing by your front porch door,
just by the old brass knocker.
Anchor myself to your moor,
and persist my stubborn linger.

I'd cook you up a great feast,
though I'd probably burn a finger.
And feed your inner starving beast,
with food enough to fill a moon crater.

I'd draw up a large oil mural,
and paint your eyes in rainbow colors.
For you'd blind a burial,
with your happy lustful fever.

I'd flood your phone with messages,
cursed with sweet sentimental fragrance.
Drown you in violet scented pages,
filled with hand scribbled concerns.

I'd write you a short poem,
to profess my never dying love.
If you need me to re-affirm,
then, my darling, please read the above.
