My Dearest Maxx

by Second to None   Dec 29, 2009

**I wrote this poem for one of my best friends in the entire world. He is one of the best friends anyone could ever ask for. He won't let me down. Max, remember Rawr means iloveyou in dinosaur. :)**

What can I say, two of a kind
Without each other we'd be blind
Your closer to me than family will ever be
I need you, and you you need me

You look nothing like me but could be my brother
With you I don't need my dad or my mother
We share problems like people share a coke
We talk when we're ready, no need to provoke

I can't believe the short time I've known you
If I hadn't met you, I don't know what I'd do
When we're together, you dry my tears
And help repair the scars I've gotten over the years

Now that I think about it, neither of us fit in
We never come out on top, we never win
But with you, I feel I have received the best gift
You can't take my burden but can help me with the lift

You make me smile, even on my darkest day
Even in my depression, you always find the perfect way
Boo, you are someone that will always stand by me
We're not always strong, but we're happy and free

I will never judge you, I pray that you never judge me
Best friends for now and forever is how its meant to be
Even when we are old and wrinkly don't forget your Hun
There are a few people I'll never forget, your close to number one

Please Boo, don't be like almost everybody else here
If you choose to stay with me, just know I'll always be near
They don't love you like I love you, thats part of our song
During those eight words you know I'll always sing along

Rawr :)

Um i thought this was a very interesting poem. I can really feel how close you are to this person and im sure we all have a friend like this that that we are close to. But i thought it flowed well in some places but it was really off in alot of places. Also i thought that most of the rhyming seemed forced. Also you reused alot of words which made for some really off repition. I still loved the overall thought of the poem and the real friendship that was portrayed throughtout it
