Your voice

by Weeping Wolf   Jan 2, 2010

Yes, I remember your voice.
Your voice, when it was not so bitter.
I miss your voice...
Your voice when it elevated and fell in pitch
Your voice when it recited me Shakespeare
Your voice when it read to me in the silence...
Such a voice that whispered soft things and teased me,
Spoke with passion and fervor and words of genius,
jested and told jokes, laughed and sang and sobbed...

Yes, I even miss your voice when it weeped,
though your weeping gives me the harshest pain,
it was better at least than the coldness of your commands now,
and I surrender to please you, but your voice,
...Still tells me how unsatisfied you are.

I miss your voice...when it had feeling.
when it whispered "I love you".
And your voice trembled all the way down to my bones
and lit a spark in the dark cave of my heart.
Yes... I miss your voice when it had warmth.
