For The Man That Is Bored

by Ahmed Ali   Jan 2, 2010

Looking back in the days that have passed,
I have read 15 novels is a span of one year.
Although I know it is not much of a feat,
It is something that I am glad to have cleared.

I've taken interest in multiple courses,
Meeting many new and interesting people along the way.
I've then exchanged wits and voices,
Broadening my horizons with each passing day.

Swimming with the flowing river,
So many things I learned that I never knew.
Now I have a lot of options to choose from,
I have so many things that I can do.

Each instance is like a puzzle,
Slowly but surely being pieced together.
Without one or the other,
I would not be able complete the bigger picture.

In piecing together every instance,
I was able to achieve newer things.
And In doing such and such,
I became different to the eyes of other beings.

For the girl that payed me attention,
I gave to you mine.
You didn't need to make up an elaborate thing to say,
All you needed to do was say "hi".

And that you did and now,
Each other we have found.
To put into a simple sentence,
"There was success because I traveled out."

I went out to watch the sun,
Follow me around.
I went out to watch the night,
Peek at me from the ground.

I said yes to most things,
That weren't too absurd.
Which in turn fixed my vision,
To clear from blurred.

This is my advice,
For the man that is bored.
I urge you to go out,
And re-experience the world.

If you look for adventure,
It will find you indeed.
Just allow yourself to grow,
Plant down your wisdom seeds.
