Love is Yellow

by Fran   Jan 2, 2010

Love can torture you on the rack,
Love can paint you blue,
Love can be any color and
Each and every hue.

Love can be scarlet, that dangerous red
Of pure passion in burning beds,
Love isn't shackled by race or gender,
Love can be painful yet graceful and tender.

You can love him or her, he or who,
You can love one, you can love two,
We are who we are, no-one to blame,
We're all victims of indiscriminate flames.

Love should always speak it's name,
Should know not fear nor terrible shame,
With dreams and hope in every kiss,
Love is yellow, love is bliss.

You are very right in all you say here, Fran..

I especially was touched by these words:

Love should always speak it's name,
Should know not fear nor terrible shame

    ^^
So many people have to endure the deepest of pains and shame just because they love someone, who is seen as an inappropriate candidate...Why do people do this to one another? Who are we to decide for our fellow men who he/ she is allowed to love?

    Good job, excellent message!

    God bless,

    5/5 Ingrid

This is quite wonderful Fran. I am especially taken with the line:

We're all victims of indiscriminate flames.

    Ain't it the truth! :-)
