My goodbye

by mollymoo   Jan 3, 2010

I'm trying to drown your memory so i put that bottle to my lips.
As he's kissing my cheek and holding my hips.
The winds like a song, sung straight from the heart,
but I'm not quite sure where it ends or where it did start.
I'm holding on to this picture, I'm clung to it like glue.
where did the time go? i wish somebody knew.
You promised me forever, but i guess forever was a lie.
all we really had was what was between hello and goodbye.
I guess I never knew you the way i swore i did.
So this is my goodbye to you, the things I always hid.
I don't want to see your face or hear your voice or feel your kiss.
I don't want to care, I don't want to need, your lies are things i will never miss.
your letters, your songs, they're all thrown away.
your clothes and your ring were given back that day.
Sure I'm not perfect, but I'm better then you.
So I'm going to sit back and relax and cry one last time, cause after tonight i don't care what or who you do.
