My Anorexic Heart (Quatern)

by Mimed Lovette   Jan 4, 2010

Starved of love; you are obsession.
Slave of faith; hope's divination.
Packaged, bundled, carved by trouble;
searching for your absent double.

Amorous hell; blithe's creation.
Starved of love; you are obsession.
Combination, clamorous two;
but there'd always be one of you.

Binge futile, heart's discriminant.
Emaciate. Malnourishment.
Starved of love; you are obsession.
Devil's pride; toxic addiction.

No one other, for you I'd stall.
Deprived, famished, hindsight's downfall.
Mirage; delusive prediction.
Starved of love; you are obsession.

    First off, I gotta say your vocab was so hard for me lol.
    I really really enjoyed this poem, I actually read it several times before commenting, and before you even posted it
    I love love love your repetitive line, it was so catchy when I first read it, I don't know why didn't you entitle it "Starved of love; you are obsession.", it would've been great as well.
    I still really like this one though :)

    Packaged, bundled, carved by trouble;
    searching for your absent double.
    ^Love those line a lot!

    The best thing about this poem is its rhyme, I could find it flawless; it went smooth and flowed beautifully!
    There's nothing else to be said except for this poem is a masterpiece :)
