Dear heart

I know you have been broken many times
I know you feel like its all been crimes.

Yes my dear heart I feel your pain
Yes I know all the love we had feels so vain.

We have had the world in our hands
We somehow lost it I just dont understand.

No one knows what we have been through
No one knows the amount of glue.

That it took to put you back together
That it feel like thick leather.

I have tried so hard to keep you together
I have tried but I just cant keep it all together.

No matter how I try you keep getting hurt
No matter what I do it seems you always end up in the dirt.

You have always been here for me
You have always been free.

So now I see that love is not for me
So I will just sit here and think about being free.

    The sadness seeps through every word. I really like the word choice you have used it truly composes a visual diagram of the experiences and emotions that come from within.

    Such a sad poem, it is touching in the aspect of everyone well most everyone has felt this way. I know I sure have! You really put together a beautiful and personal write about how a heart feels when going through the waves of love. Nicely done!
