White Rose

by Faith   Jan 15, 2010

My beauty at a distance
Why can't you see
The vagrant white rose
Decaying before me

In time I've come to believe
That theres more I'm missing
And beyond your charming relief
Is something not worth dismissing

I've stumbled upon
A different kind of charming
Something so smooth I slipped on
Something so gentle its disarming

My train of thought
Why has it seemed to have crashed
Is it because every image they brought
Has made me feel so abashed

My eyes get glazed over
When I see their smile
The time suddenly goes slower
My mind begins to go wild

The touch of their hands
The feeling like a jolt
Making it hard to stand
One more lightning bolt

The dreams they give
Oh, If they only were true
The new life I could live
A different kind of happiness so new

This crazy feeling of magic
That I no longer can ignore
I hope the story doesn't end tragic
It's a ride I'm willing to endure
