The Room

The Room

You could lock me in a room,
And turn out all the lights,
Lather me in gloom,
And makes the days the nights,

You would spare me the happiness,
That normal people seem to share,
Bathe me in sadness,
When no one else is there,

Though don't take yourself
Out of this equation,
I couldn't bear the thought of
Not meeting your expectation.

You should tear me from the snap shots,
And force me from your mind,
But when the darkness ties you in knots,
You know, that I, you can always find.
