My soft stone

by Mr Rhee   Mar 2, 2010

Sometimes at night,
in the semi darkness
of our bedroom,
I watch you sleep.
I watch you breathe.

Your chest rises,
and then it falls,
so slowly.
With such a calm.
With such security.

I listen to your breaths.
In and out,
and in and out.
So peaceful.
So resting.

I look at your eyes.
Lids closed and unmoving,
your lashes waving.
So beautiful you are.
Each and every night.

I touch you gently.
There between your breasts,
skin so warm and soft.
A treasured moment.
A quiet gift.

Your sleeps brings a peace.
Your breathing calms me,
and soothes the pains.
My soft stone.
My quiet calm.

I lay back down.
I close my eyes,
and listen to you.
You are my heart.
You are my love.
