What True Love Isn't

by Ashley   Mar 29, 2010

Our history is just now hitting me.
We've been here before.
It gets worse, though.
You're in love.
But not with me.
And I flirt with her,
I'm falling for her,
But she's not you.
I've spent over a year of my life trying to show you,
We're meant to be.
We're closer when we're not together.
This isn't what love should be.
This isn't what I wanted.
We've done this before...
But it all feels so fresh.
But this time it's for real,
You chose her,
You chose her over me.
You say you really don't want her,
But I want you to be with her,
Until I get over you.
I refuse to do this with you,
Again.
This is not what true love really is.
I'm falling for her...
She's special,
But I'll never feel for her,
The way I feel for you.
Because I've never loved another,
The way I love you.
So I want you to be happy,
Go out and find your real true love.
You deserve that much.
And while you're searching,
Please don't ever forget,
I still love you.
And I always will.
