Infatuation

Infatuation

Eyes full of wonder,
once again being pulled under,
he's like a drug,
A demon I can't face down,
This love is an addiction from which I cannot be unbound,

Second thoughts,
Mindful doubts,
Is this the way each love shall follow,
My heart given in full,
And yet somehow I still feel hollow,

Afraid to trust,
Knowing I will fall from his grace,
It's like a fantasy,
One taste and I'm in ecstasy,

He throws his line,
Bait on hook,
One taste of his grace and he's got me entranced,
Yet still I doubt his sinful heart,

Knowing that an end is nigh,
I wonder if it's worth a fight,
Time will show,
Whether or not it will last I do not know,
But in this moment I will prevail,
And time will tell this twisted tale.
