Heart Repair

by Avrii Monrielle   May 17, 2010

You can't kiss me
Can't touch me
Can't love me
without feeling some guilt
or loss
or joy.

I have seen, have seen, have seen
I see
I really
like your touch!

I like how you touched me with your words and eyes and fingers
and I saw the world more beautiful for you helped my eyes
Despite the fact I am lonely!
Despite the fact I've been ignored!

And oh, I am so desperate for a reason to smile--
and you gave me one.

I love that feeling,
that peaceful feeling --
thanks for giving me it
if even a moment.

I've never been called a good closer before. I like that. Thank you very much Ares, I am really grateful to you for reading my work. I'm really glad for your support!~

This too falls under the category of being quite good. I didn't understand the second stanza though and its purpose in the poem. Please send me a message, I'd love to hear the author's thought on it.

I'm beginning to see that you're really a very good closer. This is the second straight poem where you've pulled of some very powerful stanzas to end the poem, which to me is a sign of a very very good poet.

Keep writing & I'll keep reading!
