Do Not Pretend

by KellynGailen   Jun 1, 2010

Don't pretend
That I don't feel your glances
They penetrate my skin
With giddy girly excitement
And soul stomping pain.
I still love it when you touch me!
But I want to smack you when you do.
Falsely excited electric currents
Travel my body
Only for you to let the charge die.
Stop teasing me.
Stop torturing me.
Stop killing me.
Stop killing any chance for
Me to move on.
Other guys are waiting
To be with me the way
I was with you.
As much as I want to move on
I am still with you
And you don't even have to try.
You have me on your controlling leash
Let me go.
Or love me the way
You pretended you always would.
