Thought I'd Found glass slippers

by Avrii Monrielle   Jun 8, 2010

It's been over a month
since your face was next to mine
nobody else in this separation,
nobody else to take you aside.

I thought it could be an adventure.
I thought my feet could never move.
I never thought I'd be here
I never thought I could be so close to you.

And here you are.
It's a day in our lives.
It's a memory that can't be washed clear with water.
It's a quick glimpse of sunshine.

And here we be --
you, so clearly next to me.
Touch my ears with those lips...
I can hear you so clearly...

Touch my eyes with your heart
and your heart with my eyes.
Let's see what we've been missing.
Won't you take this chance, and talk to me?

Didn't notice the cliches too much. Thank you. :)

I think this poem is quite good, actually. You did fall in to some clichees but all in all a very nice poem. The last two stanzas are really powerful which for me made this poem.
