Long Ago and Far Away

by Tagliatella   Jun 28, 2010

Some other night, some other day
Long ago and far away
Where the lovely roses grow
When the sweet summer wind flows
Where two lovers gently lie
When sparkling stars fill the sky
Where we waltz away the night
When the soothing moon's so bright
Where loving words were whispered
When a moment seems forever
Long ago and far away

Day and night, and night and day
Time passes us along the way
Then came fallen autumn leaves
Then came frozen winter breeze
A promise long forgotten
A heart long broken
The given roses long dried
As the lovers bid their last goodbye
To the faded happiness one used to share
To the bittersweet sorrow one used to bear
Old memories swiftly sway
Somewhere, someday
Long, long ago
Far, far away
