Promises mean goodbyes

"i promise forever" i remember your exact words,
i guess you could only love me two-thirds.

words forever embarked in my mind,
i guess forever isn't that much time.

out of all the lies you told
i thought forever was one i could hold.

promises,promises i thought you'd be true,
but i guess some things you cant undo.

i really don't miss you,i miss forever,
and all the times we shared together.

promises,promises only lead to lies and more lies.
and lies lead to tears,which always lead to goodbyes!
