Vampiress

I am an inhabitant beneath a blanket.
It is the securest tent.
Where I wonder if you hover, freed from my heavy steel anklet.
It is a steal to reveal the answer yields at yes.
Stopping my heart, running through me is death.
Thoughts of you generate shortness of breath.
Sands running out; I am almost dead, as I depict a lavish love having come to its end.
What is left is a daunting dent as if being the receiver of revenge.
A piercing bite stings how you would not believe; bitten by who was let in.
I deserve a swerve to cause a crash for my lack of intelligence.
The aftermath is as wicked as a detached ligament.
Ripped from within was my heart, have you seen it?
Better yet bring to light yours; you're blinded in darkness.
Remaining soulless, no matter; my heart will find its only link to loveliness.
It will reach your chest and knock to see if its fondest friend is in attendance.
Let it out to pull yourself from the dark and me from this blistering skin.
What am I, a jester? You love being pale and this burning is just about to begin.
Your heart hears my heckling calls, but does not attempt to answer them.
