Her Downfall.

by Hologram   Jul 22, 2010

Happiness knocks,
But she locks the door.
She can't do it again,
Not to be hurt like before.

Love screams a loud,
But it's all she has to fear.
So she blocks out the world,
Pretends not to hear.

But arms wrap around her,
In a warm embrace.
And she opens her eyes,
To see his beautiful face.

Staring at her,
Ready to help her heal.
Whispering softly to her ears,
"Don't be afraid of how you feel."

Tears fill her eyes green eyes,
And she feels something inside her again.
Telling her that things are different now,
Compared to how they were back then.

And she needs to let go,
And allow herself to smile.
Through the tears she whispers,
"I haven't been unafraid in awhile."

But his gentle kiss,
Can change it all.
And when lips part,
Love is once again her greatest downfall.

My mym, this is a WONDERFUL poem, I can relate to most of it, except for the end. :\ Whenever I get those "its gonna be different" feelings, theyre always the opposite.

    Hon,
    Take yur own advice;
Don't be afraid to love him _ And don't be afraid to lose him either,
If you lose him, he isn't worth keeping.
