The Last Paragraph

by x325xRunawayTrainx103x   Jul 23, 2010

God only knows why things aren't working
While true smiles are erased and bad luck is lurking
But He also knows how good and true you are, too
And we all know who's the last to judge you

Moving pass the preaching and on to a smile
Maybe these next few seconds could stay a while
Maybe you can escape for a second in your mind
Step out of this box and leave this place behind

Write down your troubles, I'm sure it's a long list
Then count your blessings, make sure nothing is missed
I bet your troubles outweigh good by a long shot
And so you're wondering with what you got

We all may not have happiness in the palm of our hand
But we got legs and the power to stand
And I got a heart that's not expiring anytime soon
And I got a hole in my heart being filled by you

Some people experience great friendships in one way
That's with the ones who they marry and move away
Some are lucky and get to be in more than just what's normal
We're far from plain, far from boring, and far from formal

I believe we're truly going to make it somehow
Whether it's staying here or getting out
But wherever my g6 goes, you're riding up front
And we are going to get everything that we want

Work doesn't always have to equal life
Happiness can form the equation if figured out right
I think learning and experience can fulfill one's reason
Ya know, a reason to give you something to believe in

Learning from others can show you life in different views
Watching others waste life and some putting it to use
Don't look in a straight direction with no peripheral vision
Experience your day and everything that surrounds and fills it

You hit rock bottom when nobody cares about you anymore
When nobody has a reason to love you for
When people walk out and you don't see anyone here
Then you know you should have something to fear

You know personally that life can be hell
You know it all a little bit too well
You're not going to be alone, ever, in your life
Even if you think you'll never do things right

No matter what, we will always have each other
Therefore, we'll always have a plan A, plan B, and another
Between you and I, we'll never be at the bottom
Because anything throw our way, eventually we'll solve them

So don't forget that you'll always have me
Put your right hand on your heart, that's where I'll be
Maybe a little too crazy, too drunk, or too loud
But I'll always be around...

so don't forget that last paragraph
you probably thought I was done
But I love to write, you know, you'll have that
I'll give 100 percent and then some

But honestly when you're sad
Just remember what you read
And remember the words you'll always have
And what the last paragraph said...
