All is fair in love and war

by Remie   Jul 23, 2010

Sitting here alone,
Betrayed,
As a darkness seeps in to my heart,
My breathing slows,

Trapped in a paralytic trance,
Sure enough romance causes heart ache,
Mentally breaking me,
No longer caught up in his ecstasy,

Stuck for words,
An array of defensive insults come to mind,
However this would be no means to an end,
Hostility will never provide closure,
Seemingly death seeps in, closer,

Difficulty describing my emotions,
A library of heartbreak quotations fill my mind,
Love is senseless,
Is a moment of happiness worth so much pain?
Heart ache takes it's toll, forever to remain,

Two paths facing me,
Senselessness becoming my reality,
Decisions separated by my mind and heart,
Standing at a metaphorical crossroad,
Indecisiveness tearing my logic apart,

Love knows no bounds,
No bounds of happiness,
Nor of pain,
Always remaining an exquisite extreme,

No end,
No story,
A tale of gore,
Nothing is fair in love,
Love is a war.
