Proposal

You have been the topic of many a leaf's daydream
As i sit too in a grassy path
The way your rays cost over and over grown pasture
and bring yellow buds to the earth
streams of smoggy heat rise from the pavement
The way you feed me, even as you stand at a far distance
your energy can cross all boarders
Reaching the tips of my brightly decorated arms
and stretching towards my lone limb
You teach me to expand and stand
so tall
while others are baffled by our long distance relationship
a rough breeze
shakes me with laughter
at their ignorance
for no one could exist without you
They should all stop, not only when
your freshly dressed in glowing hughes early in the morning and 6 hours past noon
But they all should stop
when you're hidden dressed in white
for i can feel you coming through the cotton linins
you protect me from the dark
so dear sun,
you are my glowing star in the sky
you make the world go round
so can i ask you to my light
for always and forever,
to melt away the cold
as together we grow old
