Drowning

Cold burning like flames
Frozen in the coals of hell
Pressure building up around
Air being pulled from my chest

Drifting slowly down
Sensing blackness all around
Light above is fading
My vision starts to blur

My heart is pounding through me,
Like a clock to my end
All other noise is crippled
Brought to a dull roar

I surrender my last breath
And it feels like I’m flying
Absolute rest consumes my mind
In darkness, I lay to rest
Eternity in death
