Keep Running Back

by Ian Vincent   Jul 28, 2010

Time heals the pain but puts roses around the good
Wrap another bandage round my heart I probably should
Searching for a way so I can reach the other side
Where greener pastures wait for me but i just cannot find

I wish I may, I wish I might, I wish I could move on
But something keeps me running back to hear that same old song
The sound of sweet familiarity, the tune of times gone by
The melody of "i love you" before she say's goodnight

I yearn for something I can't have, it makes me want it more
I get real close and find myself behind another door
I hurt myself again and again by always coming back
To find myself running around the same old beaten track...
