Fairytale Land

by Holly   Jul 30, 2010

I wish I could always live here,
with the supernatural beings and happy endings;
just me and my visionary prince,
who would trot away with me on
his noble steed,
hearing clashing hoofs, tranquilized
by wedding bells.

Gushing wind travels to my lungs,
bursting into flames of truth,
and melodies captured with wisdom.
If only this fairytale land
could exist not only in bedtime stories,
but enhanced wherever you are...then
maybe I'd feel as alive when I'm woken
as I do when I'm asleep.

Society dreams about handsome men,
well I wish for friendly monsters.
Not a vegetarian, but a carnivore; a fighter
for survival. One of a kind, only found
when I turn the page in my Fairytale Land.
