Thoughts Of The Heart

by michael   Sep 15, 2010

What is this darkness that renders my life to be cluttered with such horrid unimaginative disgust, circles of tidal waves blocking out my vision like the blindfold that covers my heart.
i walk behind the face of a clown because without the beauty that once gave my life sunshine
i feel nothing but an empty, sorrowful gap.
so now i loosen the tie to the suit that is my life only to fight for this beauty that was once mine,
i'm not a warrior, nor a gladiator, but merely a man that has seen the light at the end of the tunnel,
this light, this glistening streak of what may look like a star brightly lit in the night sky
is you, it's what i'm fighting for. what i'm so desperately trying to regain focus of.
now my journey begins flying soaring, jumping, climbing high over these obstacles
with their high heels, and short dresses trying to throw me off guard,
trying to weaken me, but no i will not be weakened by this so called impenetrable force.
i will grab this sword that is my love and this shield that is my heart,
to make my way through the distractions and disasters to reach your love once again.
i guess what i'm trying to say is that i miss you and will do whatever it takes to get you back.
