Happy Birthday, Oma

by Stephanie Michelle   Sep 29, 2010

Though I may be busy now,
And spreading my own wings,
Don't ever think you're off my mind,
There's always memories.

You were there for me when I first spoke,
You were there when I would cry,
Oma you were my best friend,
And perfect in my eyes,

Even though I may not get,
To see you all the time,
Or sit you down and reminisce,
You're always on my mind.

I never get so busy that,
I don't think of you and smile,
And remember all those times you made
My childhood worthwhile.

You taught me how to read my books,
You taught me how to care,
You showed me how the world went round,
And taught me how to share.

So now I'll take some time to sit,
And share my words with you,
And let you how much I care,
About the things you do.

I hope your birthday brings you treats,
And many big delights,
A present of the grandest type,
Would fit you just so right.

Thank you for all that you do,
And all you've ever done,
I appreciate my every day for,
You've filled my life with Sun.
