You may come.

by Black Heart Still Beating   Oct 14, 2010

When the sun sinks over the trees
Then you may come find me
when the sky lets loose 4257 stars
Then you may come join me

You may come. You may come.
But only then.

day rips apart
innocents of children shines in the sky
When the moon is a man
and there is wind in the trees

You may come. You may come.
But only then.

I ask you to come see me.
Leaves will have fallen in shame
Grass will stand rotting
All around the battle rages on
Dead fall and the New stand.
There is a special balance in the world.

You may come. You may come.
But only then.

The water is smooth
And the night is reflected in your eyes
I ask you to accompany me
When the sun slinks away
And the moon comes to show you how to be a child

You may come. You may come.
But only then.

When the crickets sing
And the birds do dream
Laughing you will come
Smiling you will see
When it is dark and the rest of the world
Is scared
You may find me if you rejoice in the night.

You may come. You may come.
But only then.
