No matter if we are running away, we always need mom to help us out. Thanks for the smiles this morning.

I told my dad I was going to run away once, I think I was 5, he went and packed a bag and threw it out on the front porch, well I had a horse at that time when I found out I couldn't take it...I unpacked LOL

loved the poem, brought smiles and memories

Aww, this was a cute and funny poem. It's nice that you write from a perspective of a young boy. I find it difficult to write about a perspective I cannot relate to in any way. Very well done!

This reminds me of what my brother used to be like. He used to climb up onto my lap when he was sad and cried and told me that "mommy hurt me I wanna leave"...but since all his l's were w's...I thought he said he wanted to weave. I had no idea what he meant. I was about 6...he was 2...it was funny. Love the poem!

I really enjoyed this. The last line made me smile. it was an enjoyable read:) good job.

I would change the rhyming with

    There comes a time
    when a young boy
just has to make a stand.

    How many no s
    to questions asked
    should I have to withstand?

It threw me a little off balance
